Ginna Verhoff Studied abroad at Institute for American Universities One of the many advantages of being abroad was that I met a lot of people and became part of the local group at the dorms where I lived. The group was made of people from all different parts of England, as well as a couple of other people from the United States who were also doing study abroad courses. These are people that even after a few short years, I am still in contact with! Towards the end of my stay, I ended up having weekend visits to numerous countries in Europe. These include Wales, Ireland, France, Scotland, Netherlands, Belgium, and a small area of Germany. This was probably my favorite part. I had an incredible opportunity to work alongside business students from all over world. While learning a new language and learning about dozens of new cultures. I would recommend studying abroad to anyone who is up for a new challenge. Aside from living in the beautiful city of Paris and getting to explore it daily I was also able to travel all over Europe. I got the opportunity to attend carnival in Belgium and the festival en fuego in Spain. I was able to travel to some 10 different countries over my time there.
